“JACO has been most satisfied with the service received from SmythNet and it is a pleasure providing a recommendation.  Especially beneficial has been your guidance with web site design, keeping the site among the first to appear and immediate attention to our needs.  JACO has used other host, including larger organizations from outside this community and your service has been far better.”  Rodney Young, Jaco Manufacturing, Inc.

Dear Smythnet,
8 Nov 03

This is just a quick note of thanks for your support and the candy.

We are from the 146th Airlift Wing based out of the Point Mugu NAS in Point
Mugu California. We are all members of the California Air National Guard
and fly the workhorse of tactical airlift, the C-130 Hercules. We are
currently deployed at Al Udeid, Qatar.

A few days ago we received a box from the Red Cross with all sorts of
goodies in it including some Smilemaker Old Time Candy. There are some
really great flavors in there. I already have a favorite, sassafras. It
reminds me of part of my youth when I was growing up in Virginia just
outside of Woodbridge. My brother and I used to go out into the woods that
were across the street and dig up some of the sassafras roots that we would
find there. We would bring it back home and have our mom make sassafras
tea.

Anyway, yesterday we were tasked with an airlift mission out of Baghdad. We
flew in to pick up some U.S. Army folks looking to spend a few days of R&R
(rest and relaxation) outside of Iraq. We parked and prepared to pick them
up and as each one got on the plane, I gave them a piece of Smilemaker Old
Time Candy. Sure enough each one had a smile on their faces. I'm not sure
if it was because they were glad to get on the plane or the candy. It was
probably a little of both.

Thank you again. Please remember us in your prayers.
